Tapping Youth Innovation

Tapping Youth Innovation 2009

Why water matters!
Tapping Youth Innovation is a global campaign to identify and support youth-led solutions to clean water and sanitation.
Why water and sanitation? Billions of young people today live without adequate access to these essentials, resulting in millions of deaths a year. But youth are not just making do. They are coming up with creative answers to solving the planet’s water and sanitation crisis.
WaterAid (web), the leading organization for safe water and sanitation, and Ashoka GenV invite youth around the world to submit proposals for youth-led projects designed to improve the water and sanitation services of people living in poverty.
The ten most innovative, effective or sustainable project ideas will receive seed grants of up to US$1,000.
Submit your one paragraph idea by World Water Day – March 22, 2009.
Note: It helps to submit early! We can give you better feedback, allowing you more time to revise your proposal.
